Barrett T. Leary is a multidisciplinary artist and award-winning tattooer with roots in Wichita, Kansas. She has been drawing since childhood and discovered her passion for art early, eventually earning her BFA in Ceramic Sculpture from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2010. Her fine-art work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across the country and was highlighted in the acclaimed PBS documentary Craft in America for her pioneering ceramic techniques and powerful sculptural themes exploring the human form, death, and the body as a vessel.

Barrett began tattooing in 2004 after securing an apprenticeship under Dan McClure at Bullwinkle’s Tattoo. With dedication, countless classes, and years of practice, she developed a unique style spanning portraits, Asian influence, biomechanical concepts, and bold, vibrant color work. Tattooing remains her first love, and she continues to approach the craft with precision, creativity, and a commitment to constant learning.

In 2010 she co-founded Bloodlines Tattoo and Cuts in Kansas City before later relocating to Colorado Springs, where she has become a respected figure in the local tattoo community. Barrett has managed shops, trained artists, and created custom designs for thousands of clients. Known for her originality and artistic versatility, she blends her background in fine art with the technical skill of tattooing to deliver truly one-of-a-kind pieces.

Today, Barrett continues to create both tattoos and large-scale ceramic works, honoring her journey, her influences, and the memory of her late sister—whose loss inspired her pursuit of fine art. Her work reflects passion, perseverance, and a lifelong dedication to art in all its forms.

I’m a funny, outgoing tattoo artist who specializes in traditional, neo-traditional, and anime-inspired tattoos. I've been tattooing since 2021. I was mentored using traditional methods on coil machines by Barrett T. Leary. I love creating bold, clean designs that bring personality and style to every piece. When I’m not tattooing, I’m a proud single dad, so I know a thing or two about patience, dedication, and putting heart into everything I do. My goal is to give every client a great tattoo and an even better experience in the chair. 

 With 5½ years of professional piercing experience, I bring a steady hand, a deep respect for the craft, and a commitment to creating a safe, comfortable experience for every client. I was apprenticed by Shannon Downes, a highly respected piercer with over 25 years in the industry, whose guidance helped shape my technique, my standards, and my dedication to proper anatomy-based piercing. I take pride in providing clean, precise work, giving clients the confidence to express themselves through high-quality body art. Whether it's a first piercing or a full curated ear, I focus on communication, safety, and making each appointment a positive experience.
